Prayers for my elderly mother in the Hospital.

Prayers for my elderly mother in the Hospital.
My mother is in Jennie Stuart Hospital now, here's the story. On Thursday morning she was at home alone she was standing up and had both hands on her walker, when she used one hand to reach for something on her dresser the walker tipped over on the floor. She simply sat back down on the bed and called our neighbor who called my brother at work and the pastor of her church. They came over to the house and got her up and fed her something, then they took her to the Hospital emergency room just to be checked out.
They went on and admitted her for observation and ran blood work and stuff. She was in good sprits for the most part when we were there this weekend visiting her, we talked to her Doctor on Saturday and he did not have any results from any of her test, Nothing happens on the weekend it seems. So not much to report.

Any way my brother and I talked about getting someone to sit with her at the house because she does'nt want to go to a nursing home. I had already E-mailed the pastor of her church if there might be someone in the church congregation that could stop by for a visit to check on my mother. We could even pay someone to sit with her for a few hours a day.If you could please help point me in the right direction on finding some help for my mother. I made a few calls while my wife and I were there but being the weekend I did'nt have any luck.

On Saturday in the Kentucky new era newspaper the front page headline was "Elder abuse spurs Concern",Probelm is common, but often unreported in the state. - the story is that several home caretakers wrote forged checks.

Oh, last but not least I found out on Thursday afternoon from a coworker that the account that I work on is going to be outsourced overseas. I will be layed off August the first.
I'm not shocked or surprized because it's been pretty slow for awhile now. So I only have a month to try to find something else, I'd like to just draw unemployeement for awhile and go home to be with my mother for a week or so.

As for me I'm not really sure what job will I'll be looking for.
I've gotten an E-mail this morning from my manager that said -These changes are not as a result of poor performance by us but are being implemented as a cost saving initiative.

Here's the latest info. I just talked to my mom's case worker and they are going to put her in Covington Convalescent Center nursing home. The case worker said that (my mom)Dorothy will do physical therapy to build up her strength and maybe then they will release her to go back home. But if she does'nt get stronger then they will keep her there I'm afraid.

I called and talked to my mother just now and she was'nt too upset about going to Covington Convalescent Center, she already knows a woman thats there also. I know that my mother does'nt want to go to a nursing home but I think it might be for the best. At least until she can build up her strength, you know.
